Project Overview:
To address the challenges of frequent power outages and high electricity costs in a major industrial park in Lagos, WHC SOLAR designed and deployed a 1MW photovoltaic system combined with a 2MWh lithium battery energy storage system. The system supports both grid-connected operation and automatic off-grid switching, ensuring stable and efficient power supply.
System Configuration:
WHC High-Efficiency Solar Panels (550W.)
WHC Three-Phase Commercial Hybrid Inverters (500kilovatios × 2 unidades)
WHC Industrial-Grade LFP Battery Cabinets (1000kWh × 2 conjuntos)
Project Outcomes:
Encima 80% of daytime electricity consumption is self-generated by solar power
$180,000 in annual electricity cost savings through peak-shaving with battery discharge
During grid outages, the system switches seamlessly to off-grid mode, ensuring continuous operation of critical industrial equipment
