Special utility rebates provide a rapid return on investment

Many utilities now offer special incentives that significantly offset the cost of Ice Bear Hybrid A/C installation and equipment.

Rebates, in combination with electricity bill savings, provide rapid payback and generate ongoing cash flow. By taking advantage of available financing, Hybrid A/C can be cash flow positive from the very first month – with little or no money down.

Hybrid A/C can also improve the payback on Solar PV systems, providing clean energy storage and dramatically reducing costly peak load.

Southern California Edison Night Shift Program

Limited time cash rebates and incentives are available to customers in Southern California interested in making the shift to hybrid cooling through Southern California Edison’s innovative “Night Shift” permanent load shift program.

Qualifying commercial customers can use the cash incentives of $1,100 per kW reduced toward the purchase and installation of Ice Bear hybrid cooling units. Rebates, in combination with monthly savings of $1,100 to $2,000 per year on electric bills provide a rapid return on investment, making it possible for companies to dramatically lower air conditioning costs without sacrificing comfort.

Ongoing savings come from shifting air conditioning electric load from expensive peak daytime rates to cheaper off-peak nighttime rates, while incentives are paid based on the total kilowatts (kW) permanently shifted from peak to off-peak times.

Anaheim Public Utilities Thermal Energy Storage Peak Shifting Program

Anaheim Public Utilities has created an exclusive incentive program to promote the use of hybrid cooling among its commercial customers. Qualifying businesses can receive up to $21,000 in financial incentives for the purchase and installation of Ice Bear hybrid cooling systems, based on the age and size of each air conditioning unit to which an Ice Bear system is applied.

Plus, businesses can save $1,000s more in additional ongoing savings through an exclusive time-of-use rate for light commercial and industrial buildings specifically designed to provide savings for shifting energy use away from peak times of day.

The Ice Bear is the only product of its kind approved for Anaheim’s TES Incentive Program.
